The
museum of Medieval Warfare celebrated its 20th year !
On
the occasion of this anniversary new exhibition spaces wwere
opened to the public and a new, real size war machine was reconstructed.
Since june 2005, you discover a garden of medieval
inspiration in the bailey of the castle.
On
the bastion, a defensive terrace of stonework , exposed all the
war engines you could find in the outer bailey. This scenography
is completed with a mangonel. The mangonel is a giant sling working
like a pendulum, but unlike the trebuchet it has a fixed counterweight.
